Ralph Dinwiddie
Ralph received his General Contractor’s License from the state of CA in 1978. After witnessing the quality of his workmanship and character, the insurance industry approached him, requesting he attend their insurance training program. After completing the program, DH Construction was founded in 1992, specializing in insurance re-construction.

Where other builders may delay, we hit the ground running by immediately boarding up and securing your home from any further damage and communicating with your insurance company for approvals on the scope of repairs.
Emergency & Board Up
DH Construction is contracted with multiple fire & police departments in our coverage area to be on call 24/7, every day of the year. We respond within 1 hour to most locations for these emergency services. After a fire or other disaster, a property is often left with gaping openings in the structure. We have dedicated vehicles fully stocked with necessary supplies to secure the property and prevent further damage/theft.
Fire Damage
Destruction caused by fire can be rapid and brutal. What isn’t completely destroyed reeks of smoke and is covered in filthy soot. Our experienced Estimators will explain all your options and help expedite your insurance claim so you’re on the path to recovery in the quickest way possible.

We worked with Jennifer and Ken who were wonderful, reassuring, witty but very professional and always responsive. Initially when DH and Grange's adjusters were far apart and we were freaking out, they reassured us everything would be worked out between them. We really appreciated the way they worked well together. Steve, our superintendent, has been absolutely fabulous and he worked very well with us. Throughout, he was very professional and provided explanations as to his decisions. The last month was where he earned his keep. He pushed all the contractors and reassured us we would be back in our home on time. He always double checked in before moving on with change orders to ensure there were no misunderstandings.
